- Sevilla FC agreed to keep the Spanish club legend until December 2024 but with a special condition.
Jesús Navas is the captain of Sevilla and has played for them for 17 years, over the span of 2 different spells. The last few days were a rollercoaster of emotion for the Spanish right-back.

He accused Sevilla of mistreating him by not offering a contract extension and of lying to the media that this decision was previously discussed and that it was his decision to quit for another team, which was not actually the case.
Only 24 hours after Navas’ announcement, Sevilla made sure to sit down with the club-legend and come to an agreement.
Through another social media post, the Spanish player announced the proposal the club proposed to him, which he accepted immediately. He continued to say that his wish to play until 31 December 2024 and retire as a Sevilla player was granted by the club board.
