- Kylian Mbappe (25 years old) officially announced that he will not extend his contract with PSG further.
- He spent 7 years at the club from Paris and is now most likely going to transfer to Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe posted a video to his social media platforms where he explained his current situation, as he will leave Paris Saint-Germain after the current season ends. He dedicated a big portion of the video by thanking his teammates, coaches, sporting directors, staff, and, most importantly, the fans of the club. He even apologized for all the times that he did not rise to the expectations of the supporters, who have always given him everything they had, as he claims. The French player continues to praise the club, expressing his gratitude for what these 7 years have meant to him and how they have transformed him into a better man. He ends with an emotional promise to always remain a fan of PSG and watch them closely in the future.
QUOTE: “I won’t be a player anymore but I will continue to watch every game of course because it’s a club that I will always be interested in and I will always closely follow up its news.” -Kylian Mbappe
Big last match
In his last ever game for PSG, Mbappe has the chance to win his last trophy with the club, the Coupe de France against Olympique Lyon, on 25th May. It is a trophy that he already won 3 times with PSG, which is not a surprise, given the gigantic list of trophies and titles Mbappe has won with his club. He is a 6-time Ligue 1 champion, winning it even this year, which marked a historic number 12 of French Championship Trophies for the club. In addition, they also won 2 Coupe de la Ligue trophies and 3 Trophée des Champions. This means that Mbappe managed to achieve 14 titles with PSG in just 7 years and is on his way to his last, number 15.
The French winger has accumulated over 300 appearances for the Parisian side, which puts him at number 10 in the top for most matches played for the club. However, when talking about goals, he is the undisputed top scorer in PSG whole history, with over 250 goals. He surpassed Edinson Cavani (37 years old), the former recordman with 200 goals, over a year ago. Mbappe is also number 2 all-time for most assists, only behind legend Ángel Di María (36 years old). It’s safe to say that this young player’s stats will probably not be equalled by anybody in the near future, as he proved time and time again that he is indeed a generational, one-of-a-kind talent.

Where to next?
Kylian Mbappe is currently the top scorer of the Ligue 1, with 26 goals and 7 assists. If he finishes the season as top scorer, which he probably will, it would be the 6th consecutive season he achieves this. This stat is incredible as is, but considering that he is only 25 years old, we can clearly see why people consider him the leader of the new generation of talented footballers.
Most sources , even Fabrizio Romano (31 years old) indicate that the Mbappe-Real transfer saga will finally end this summer when his contract with PSG runs out. It is no surprise that the Frenchman wishes to end up at Madrid, because not only it would be a dream come true, but it would also help his career, playing in a stronger league with better teammates and better chances to win that Champions League trophy, which he could not achieve during his career so far. PSG was recently knocked out against all odds by Borussia Dortmund, which is now in the final versus the Madridistas.
This transfer was almost completed last summer, but Mbappe decided to extend his PSG contract for another year at the last minute, because of the amazing salary and numerous perks he received. It seems like for the last 4 years, every summer there was rumor of the young Frenchman moving to Madrid, but now it’s the most likely to happen.
